Some great advice here
I use a spreadsheet to schedule skip level meetings and do about 2 per week,
I have found it useful to do people in the same team at similar periods, so you get see to see lots of perspectives
My favourite question is to ask "how happy you are on a scale of 1-10? where 1 is super unhappy and 10 is really happy"
then explore what it would take to nudge it up by 1 point
this is very useful if you chat to people in the same team as you can see if it a team issue or a person specific issue if scores are very low
